Brussels has a maritime moderate weather, with frequent rainfall throughout the year.  Brussels’ weather is highly affected by the Atlantic and therefore the climate is characterized as oceanic. The winters are usually mild and the summers are normally quite warm.  The average temperature throughout the year is 10 C, while during the summer is 18 C and 3 C during the winter.  Although not frequent, there sometimes is some snowfall during the winter.

The best time to visit Brussels is considered to be the period between May and September when the weather is pleasant and mild.  During this period the temperature ranges from 20 to 25 C and the weather is moderately humid.  Throughout the year, the average precipitation is 785mm and there are approximately 200 rainy days.

The weather in Brussels is quite humid, with the average humidity being 84% throughout the year.  The average sunlight hours vary between 1.3 hours per day in December and 7.2 hours in May, with a total average of 1585 hours of sunlight per annum. 
Brussels weather during the winter commences in September and thus, by the end of the month the temperature falls to 10 C almost.  The winters are quite cold, with the temperature ranging from 0 C to 5 C and the night is normally colder than the day.

In July there is a rise in temperature and humidity, and during the summer months, there is a decrease in rainfall.  Along the coast, the weather tends to be milder and more humid, and it may sometimes be hot as well.  The coastal region is the driest area in Brussels.
